Download our updated search_engines.pm and save it in the AWStats lib directory, after having made a back-up copy of your existing version. Consider backing up your AWStats statistics (intermediary) files as well. They are usually in the AWStats DirData directory. Should be backwardly compatible. Based on official version 1.35 (2005/11/26).
Recognition of newly added search engines is not retroactive – you must reprocess your logs if you want to see new engines or correct Ask search engine recognition for historical data.
To provide contextual documentation, we have added a link in AWStats to the search engine's home page. This has been implemented for each new search engine, the Italian search engines and all of the existing major search engines. You must apply awstats.pl.search.patch to the AWStats program awstats.pl to take advantage of this functionality. If you don't, the html required for the link will appear in your reports instead of the link. See our instructions on patching a file if you are unfamiliar with the process. (2006-04-19)
